Urgent Care for Women in Atlanta

Several urgent care facilities in Atlanta provide services specific to women. An urgent care facility can be used when you don't have a primary care physician or when your primary care physician's office is already closed for the day. Urgent care facilities accept most forms of insurance as well as Medicare. Check with the facility prior to arrival to determine if your insurance is accepted.

The Perimeter Clinic offers care for cysts and abscesses, skin tag removal and wart treatment, allergy treatment, treatment for STDs, AIDS testing, family planning, pregnancy testing, pap smears and gynecological exams. Emergency Room vs. Urgent Care

If you are experiencing any of the following conditions, call 911 or go straight to an emergency room: life threatening symptoms, experiencing a heart attack or stroke, have open fractures, severe bleeding or blood loss, extreme abdominal pain, weakness or numbness on one side of the body, chest pain, loss of consciousness, head injury or any other major trauma.

Take time to locate the nearest urgent care facility and map out directions to the center prior to needing care. Keep the phone number and directions in an accessible area of your home and office. Call ahead to ascertain whether they accept your insurance, as well as confirming that they offer the care you're in need of.
