Facial Acne is a type of acne, which is more commonly observed in women compared to men.
It consist of following types of acne spots:

Whiteheads: These are formed when a pore becomes completely blocked due to excess oil known as sebum, bacteria, and dead skin cells. These are white in color and pop up very easily. Whiteheads can be treated much more quickly and easily using various over the counter medications.

Blackheads: Unlike white heads, Blackheads are formed when a pore becomes partially blocked allowing excess sebum, bacteria, and dead skin cells to slowly drain to the surface. As the name says it is black in color and often takes much longer to clear compared to white heads.

Papules: Papules are swollen, red, tender bumps with no head.
