A mud mask can detoxify your skin as it absorbs dirt, grime and excess oil, removes blackheads and opens up blocked pores. Although a spa mud mask can often be prohibitively expensive, you can make our own mud mask at home using fuller's earth. Fuller's earth isn't expensive, and can be purchased at most beauty supply stores.

Step 1

Place 2 tsp. fuller's earth in a cup or small mixing bowl.

Step 2

Add 1 tbsp. rose water, 1 tsp. warm honey and 3 drops tea tree oil. Stir the mixture until all the ingredients are blended. The mud mask should resemble a thick paste.

Step 3

Wash your face with a warm washcloth and pat your skin dry with a soft towel. Spread the mud mask onto your skin and allow it to remain for 10 minutes, or until the mask is dry.

Step 4

Rinse the mask from your face with warm water, then apply a gentle toner to remove all traces of the mud mask. Allow your skin to dry, then apply an oil-free moisturizer.
