How to Reduce Large Nose Pores
Overview
The pores on your nose can become enlarged for a number of reasons. Oils produced by the glands can become stuck in the pores and cause them to expand in size. Also, dead skin cells can collect in the pores and make them appear much larger. Reducing the size of the pores on your nose can make skin blemishes like blackheads less noticeable.
Step 1
Remove excess oil on your nose with blotting papers that absorb excess oil. Blotting papers are typically used before makeup application. Only use oil-free products on your face, including moisturizers, cleansers, concealers and foundations.
Step 2
Exfoliate your nose to remove dead skin cells. Use an oil-free exfoliating cleanser like Neutrogena Facial Scrub to clean the skin and remove dead skin cells that may be enlarging the pores on your nose. Wash daily with the exfoliating cleanser.
Step 3
Use pore strips on your nose to reduce their size and get rid of blackheads. Apply the adhesive side directly to your nose. Wait several minutes, then peel it away from the area. Use pore strips on a weekly basis.
Step 4
Limit your sun exposure. Getting too much sun can expand the size of the pores on your nose. If you are out in the sun, wear a sunblock that has a SPF of 15 or higher.
Step 5
Cover your large pores with powder to reduce their appearance. Set your makeup with an oil-free powder.
