Facial treatments for beautiful skin are as close as your kitchen. Rather than purchasing natural beauty products, you can easily, and economically, make your own. Homemade beauty facial treatments offer a way to reduce the chemicals your skin comes in contact with while restoring your face's natural beauty. Just avoid using any food that you have an allergy to, as putting it on your face may lead to some of the same symptoms as eating the item.

Complexion Enhancer

Gentle enough for sensitive skin, a berry facial scrub will energize your complexion, according to "Fitness" magazine. Remove the stems from three medium-sized strawberries and mash them. Stir in a tablespoon of honey. Massage this strawberry-honey mixture onto your face using a circular motion. Continue massaging for three minutes or more, allowing the enzymes in the strawberries to slough away dead skin cells. Then wash your face with warm water. The honey in this facial scrub, with its mild antiseptic properties, can also help prevent breakouts.

Astringent Facial Cleanser

Egg whites work to soften and tighten the skin while also reducing pore size, according to GrannyMed.com. Make a simple egg white mask by separating an egg and beating the white until foamy. Apply to the facial skin and leave it on for at least half an hour or as long as overnight. The astringent properties of an egg white leave your face feeling refreshed.

Sun-Stricken Skin Repair

Combine antioxidant-rich blueberries with yogurt for a facial treatment to repair and moisturize sun-stricken skin. Mash 10 blueberries with a fork and then mix in 1 tbsp. of plain yogurt. Spread the yogurt-berry mixture all over your face and leave it on for 15 minutes. Packed with vitamins C and E, the blueberries help moisturize and repair facial skin and fend off fine lines. The lactic acid in yogurt works on exfoliating the sun-damaged layer of skin, "Fitness" magazine explains.

Oily Skin Treatment

A long-used remedy for skin problems, oatmeal can soothe your skin and leave it feeling soft and supple. Because of its anti-inflammatory nature, oatmeal may also help reduce the symptoms of a mild case of acne. Grind about a half cup of dry oatmeal---either quick oats or old-fashioned---in a food processor. Mix the powdered oatmeal with just enough water to make a moderately thick paste. Smooth it all over your face and leave it on for 10 to 20 minutes, allowing the oatmeal to absorb excess oil and exfoliate dead skin cells. Wash your face with warm water.
