Neutrogena Microdermabrasion Instructions
Neutrogena is a company well known for its skin care brands, including cleansers, moisturizers and condition-specific treatments, such as acne creams. As part of the Johnson & Johnson family, Neutrogena produces its line in 70 countries as of 2010. The skin care products can be found in retail stores and directly from Neutrogena at its online store. The Neutrogena Advanced Solutions MicroDermabrasion System resurfaces skin by removing the top few layers to promote new skin growth. This product exfoliates with professional-grade crystals and an electrical applicator. According to Amazon, the Neutrogena cream formula contains antioxidants and vitamins that condition skin for a smoother appearance.
Wash your face with a gentle cleaner. Rinse with water to remove soap residue and pat the skin dry.
Snap a new foam sponge onto the applicator. Foam heads work for a maximum of 12 treatments and must be washed after every use.
Squeeze cream onto the foam head. Use the cream supplied with the kit. Amazon recommends applying a quarter-sized amount of the cream to the foam applicator.
Dab the cream from the applicator onto key areas of skin. For example, on the face, dab the forehead, checks and chin.
Turn the battery-powered applicator on by pushing up or pressing the "On" switch. Place the rotating foam sponge on the skin surface and massage the cream over the area. Keep the device on each section for at least two minutes. In other words, work the skin on the forehead for two minutes before moving down to the checks.
Rinse the skin with warm water once completing the facial by pat drying with a clean towel.
Apply a moisturizer to the skin.
Remove the sponge head from the applicator. Grab the two sides with your fingers and pull toward you until the piece comes off.
Wash the foam sponge thoroughly with an antibacterial soap and rinse it with water. Set the foam sponge aside and allow it to air dry.
Repeat the application two to three times a week.
