How to Remove Acne Scars the Natural Way
Overview
Acne is a skin condition in which the pores become blocked due to excess oil in the skin. This causes them to become inflamed and can result in scarring in severe cases. The standard treatment for acne scars is to remove the upper layers of skin through dermabrasion or laser resurfacing. It may also be possible to lighten acne scars naturally by applying natural substances to your face.
Step 1
Clean your face before applying a natural treatment for acne scars. Use mild soap and warm water to remove dirt, makeup and oil from the face.
Step 2
Cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a medium bowl. Measure a cup of water and add it to the bowl. Stir the water and lemon juice to mix them thoroughly together.
Step 3
Soak a washcloth in the lemon juice solution and wring out the excess liquid. Press it against the acne scars for a few minutes to lighten the acne scars. Repeat this procedure once each day.
Step 4
Apply olive oil to your skin. Obtain 100 percent pure olive oil from a major grocery store and apply it to your acne scars up to five times per day. This can help lighten acne scars.
Step 5
Use Vitamin E oil to fade acne scars. Buy capsules of pure Vitamin E from a grocery store or health supply store. Rub the oil from one of the capsule into your skin with the acne scars. This treatment may be effective for acne scars in addition to other skin conditions.
Step 6
Treat acne scars with rosehip seed oil. Find rosehip seed oil at health supply stores and beauty supply stores. Rub the oil on your skin twice a da. Rosehip seed oil can gradually fade acne scars with prolonged use.
