How to Get Rid of Pimples on My Inner Thigh
Pimples on the inner thigh are often a result of ingrown hairs. Shaving your bikini line can lead to razor burn, a common manifestation of ingrown hairs. Pimples on the inner thigh can also be regular acne, caused by an infected oil clog in the hair follicle. Exfoliation, the process of scrubbing away surface dead skin cells, can have the added bonus of freeing a trapped ingrown hair responsible for a pimple on the inner thigh.
Exfoliate your skin using a mild facial cleanser and loofah, washcloth or bath pouf. Get into a hot shower and allow the steam to help open your pores. Apply a few drops of cleanser on your scrubbing implement and massage your inner thigh gently in a circular motion. Rinse with hot water.
Saturate a cotton ball with salicylic acid toner and wipe it across your skin to help keep your pores clear and dry up pimples. Do not allow the toner to come into contact with your genitals.
Smooth an aloe vera-based hydrocortisone cream over your skin to help reduce swelling and irritation and calm any itching.
Allow existing pimples time to heal before you shave again, and wear loose clothing that does not rub against them. Shaving over pimples can break them open, spread bacteria and further irritate ingrown hairs.
Repeat the process of exfoliating and applying toner and hydrocortisone cream once daily until all pimples are gone.
