How to Get Rid of Inflammation of Pimples
When hair follicles become blocked with excess sebum or oil, debris and bacteria they become inflamed and infected, generating pimples, which are raised red skin spots with a white center. Hormones, genes, medication and bacteria are factors thought be influencing factors in sebum production in the skin, but the actual cause is unknown. It is important to keep your skin cleansed using a gentle antimicrobial soap to prevent further infections from happening and to treat your current inflammation you will need to disinfect your skin using anti-inflammatory herbs such as calendula.
Wear a hair cap or headband to keep any hair away from your face.
Fill your sink with warm water and splash your face to moisten your skin for your soap application.
Lather a gentle antimicrobial soap on your skin. Soaps that contain lavender have antimicrobial properties as well as geranium essential oil, according to acupuncturist and herbalist David Crow in his book "The Pharmacy of Flowers."
Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry using a soft towel. Make sure to avoid rubbing your skin as you dry it and restrain the urge to squeeze any of your pimples as this may cause your infection to spread.
Make a strong infusion with organic calendula blossoms by steeping them in boiling hot water overnight and use this infusion on our face, applying it with a cotton ball. Calendula has strong anti-inflammatory properties that will help reduce the inflammation in your pimples, according to herbalist David Hoffmann in his book "The New Holistic Herbal."
Apply a thin layer of clay to create a mask that will help close your pores, nourish and tone your skin. You can buy clay masks at your local health food store or online.
Rinse off the clay mask once it has dried and pat your skin dry again.
Apply a non-oily moisturizing cream to your skin that will not clog your pores and will hydrate your skin.
Repeat these steps each morning and evening except for the clay mask, which you can use once or twice per week as needed,
