How to Get Rid of Acne in 2 Weeks

When oil glands produce an excess amount of oil, the pores may become clogged, accumulating bacteria. Acne is caused by these clogged pores called comedones. Acne can also be a product of hormonal fluctuations, excess stress and elevated perspiration. Although curing acne in two weeks can not be guaranteed for every person, there are many remedies that can significantly help clear your skin and prevent further breakouts or permanent damage such as scarring.
Cleanse your face with an oil-free, nondrying soap. Do not scrub or aggressively wash your face to prevent irritation and scabbing. Exfoliate two to three times per week. Exfoliate with a mildly abrasive cleanser; this helps reduce oil and dry skin particles that plug pores.
Apply a topical treatment to each breakout. Using spot-treatments that contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide and sulfur.
Remove your makeup before you go to bed every night. This will prevent bacteria and clogged pores.
Consult your dermatologist about trying prescription medicine for your acne if you do not get the results you desire from at-home treatment. Medications such as Differin if your acne does not respond to over-the-counter treatments. Medical treatments such as Differin are derivatives of vitamin A and encourage cells to grow and prevent pores from blockage.
