How to Get Rid of Acne Fast Without Medications
Overview
Acne is a chronic inflammatory disease of the skin which causes pimples to appear on the face and other body areas. Acne most often affects teenagers, but can affect people of all ages. Pimples occurs when skin pores become clogged with oil and dirt, causing inflammation if the skin ruptures. Acne can be treated with over-the-counter creams and prescription medication. It can also be treated at home using common household items.
Step 1
Combine honey and cinnamon powder to make a paste, and rub a layer onto the affected area. If you need to apply the paste to your entire face, 3 to 4 tbsp. of cinnamon powder would be appropriate. Honey has antimicrobial properties, and cinnamon promotes exfoliation of dead skin cells. Wash your face after applying the paste.
Step 2
Squeeze about a teaspoon of lemon juice into a glass or bowl. Dilute the lemon juice with a few drops of water. Dab the lemon juice on the acne using a cotton ball. Wash your face before and after applying the lemon juice. Do this for two weeks to see results. The solution may sting at first.
Step 3
Combine grated ginger and milk to make a paste. Rub a layer onto the affected area. Ginger has strong anti-inflammatory properties. Wash your face after applying. The remedy works best if left on overnight.
