How to Get Rid of Black Head Pimples
According to Medical News Today, a blackhead is a type of acne called an open comedone, forming a bump that often appears yellow or black in color because of bacteria formation under the skin. Luckily, some natural treatments may help get rid of blackheads, according to Susan E. Worwood, author of "Essential Aromatherapy: A Pocket Guide to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy," and Jennie Harding, author of "The Essential Oils Handbook: All the Oils You Will Ever Need for Health, Vitality and Well-Being." Medical research does not support claims about the use of herbal or natural remedies.
Combine ½ tsp. benzoin essential oil, ½ tsp. juniper essential oil, ½ tsp. grapefruit essential oil, ½ tsp. lemon essential oil, ½ tsp. lime essential oil, ½ tsp. eucalyptus essential oil, ¼ tsp. German chamomile essential oil and ¾ cup sesame oil in a dark colored bottle with a tight-fitting top.
Cover the bottle and shake it gently for 10 seconds to combine the contents.
Pour a small amount of the mixture into a bowl. Add a clean cotton pad to the bowl and allow the cotton to absorb the essential oil mixture for 1 minute.
Rub the cotton pad gently onto the area of skin affected by black heads. Allow the oil to stay on the skin for 20 minutes.
Rinse your skin with lukewarm water. Wash with a gentle facial cleanser before patting the skin dry with a clean cotton towel and applying a mild moisturizer.
Use this treatment once per day right before bed. Stop using the mixture if it causes extreme redness, swelling or other irritation.
