Removing Blackheads With Black Charcoal

Overview

Blackheads are caused when dirt, grime and oil become trapped inside a hair follicle. They are dark in appearance and usually are not raised above the skin. Blackheads can be difficult to remove, but they respond well to exfoliation and various methods used to dry the skin. Black charcoal is used to purify the skin and absorb excess oil. Charcoal can be taken in pill form to aid digestion and detoxification, and it also can work to clear blackheads when used in a facial mask.

Step 1

Break open 2 black charcoal pills and crush the charcoal until it is in dust form.

Step 2

Add small amounts of water to the crushed charcoal and mix together until it is a thick paste.

Step 3

Apply the paste to the face, chest, neck or any other part of the skin where blackheads are visible.

Step 4

Allow the paste to dry on the skin for 15 minutes.

Step 5

Wash off the paste with warm water and pat the skin dry with a towel.
