How to Get Rid of Blackheads with Strips

Blackhead removing strips use a stick glue-like substance on the back of the strip to adhere to the tops of the blackheads in your skin to rip them out instantly, much like waxing does for hair removal. Blackhead strips can be ideal for quick removal, but according to CBC's Street Cents, aren't ideal as a long-term acne solution.

Wash the affected area will with a mild cleanser before applying the strips. Step 2
Remove a strip from the package and take it out of its plastic covering. Run it under warm water for a few seconds to activate the glue on the shiny side of the strip.

Press the strip, glue side down, onto your skin. Blackheads often devleop in the greasier t-zone are of the face: nose, chin and forehead. You can buy strips that are pre-cut to fit those places, but you can also use a pair of scissors to trim a strip so that it fits exactly over the space where you have blackheads.
Step 4
Allow the strip to dry while on your skin. Most strips will take less than 10 minutes to feel dry and sometimes even hard to the touch. Test it with your fingers to make sure it is dry. If you pull the strip off while still wet, you'll simply be left with wet glue on your skin.
Step 5
Grasp the edge of the strip and quickly rip it off in one movement. You should be able to see a visible reduction in your blackheads, as indicated by the black marks on your strip. Discard the strip and cleanse your face once more.
