Many healthy foods contain vitamins and minerals that are effective in helping to treat acne. Fill your diet with foods such as carrots as they contain vitamin A, which helps to reduce excess production of sebum; red meats as they are rich in zinc, which prevent acne by controlling your oil gland activity; and whole grains as they contain various B vitamins, important for aiding your body in dealing with stress, which may cause acne.
