How to Cover Large Veins That Show Through Skin on the Face
Overview
Large veins may be visible through the skin on your face for a variety of reasons, according to "Foundations and Adult Health Nursing," though simply having pale skin is the most notorious cause. If you are not fond of your veins showing through on your face, you can cover them up with a few cosmetic tricks, according to "Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice."
Step 1
Apply a small amount of oil-free facial moisturizer to your face. Gently massage the moisturizer into your skin using circular motions. According to "Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice," the moisturizer will act as a barrier between your skin and the cosmetics, preventing breakouts and clogged pores.
Step 2
Allow the moisturizer to be fully absorbed into your skin, which may take two to three minutes, according to "Milady's Standard Cosmetology."
Step 3
Apply a small amount of liquid concealer to the cosmetic sponge. Use the cosmetic sponge to apply the concealer to the veins on your face.
Step 4
Allow the concealer to fully dry, which may take two to three minutes.
Step 5
Apply pressed powder foundation to your entire face with a cosmetic brush. According to "Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice," by applying the pressed powder to your entire face, the concealer will blend in with your foundation and adequately cover your veins.
