How to Squeeze Nose Blackheads
According to "Braun-Falco's Dermatology," blackheads develop when sebum, the oil that your body produces, oxidizes and turns dark gray. Though it can be temping to squeeze the blackheads on your nose, "Handbook of Dermatology: A Practical Manual," suggests that you do your best to avoid squeezing them, as that could cause bacteria to spread on your face and result in scarring. If, however, you cannot fight that temptation, minimize the risks associated with squeezing the blackheads on your nose by following a few simple steps.
Wash your hands thoroughly with antibacterial hand soap. According to "Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice," dirty hands touching the face can spread bacteria and cause infections and blemishes.
Splash warm water on your face. According to "Handbook of Dermatology: A Practical Manual," warm water will dilate the pores.
Cleanse your face gently, focusing primarily on the areas of your nose with blackheads, with a facial cleanser. Rinse off the excess cleanser with warm water.
Place one finger of each hand on either side of the blackhead on your nose. Apply pressure to ease the blackhead out of the pore it is resting in. Start with gentle pressure and slowly apply greater pressure until the blackhead comes to the surface of the skin.
Splash cool water on your face. According to, "Cosmetic Dermatology: Principles and Practice," this constricts the pores, preventing further blackheads.
