Almost none of the scientific acne researches tell that urine can cure acne. Business interest may one of the main reason why they didn't tell specifically about the advantage of the urine therapy. If urine was a miracle cure as it is touted, pharmaceutical corporations would never make a drug out of it, because people don't need to pay for their own urine. They're motivated only by profit.
Both the scientific and alternative communities have explored and expounded the theory behind urine therapy. One such community holds world conferences on the subject; the last one -- The Fifth World Congress on Urotherapy -- was held in 2009 in Mexico, where over 600 people gathered to discuss the positive results of practitioners and patients using urine therapy.
The most important fact about urine is that contrary to what you might suspect, urine is not a waste product. In fact, it is free of toxins and contains a resource unique to each individual when re-introduced to the body, internally or externally. Urine is 95 to 98% water. The rest is, as the laboratories can confirm, biochemical compounds in minute amounts that may have curative properties.

One of the practitioners who attended the Third World Congress on Urotherapy, Coen van der Kroon, also author of the book "The Golden Fountain: The Complete Guide of Urine Therapy," suggests washing the face with fresh urine to combat acne. Martha Christy, a medical research writer and author of "Your Own Perfect Medicine," has collected data on the success of urine as a treatment for many diseases, including acne. She has gathered affirmations from the established medical community and testimonials from patients, and she has used urine therapy herself.
