The Best Dry Skin Products

Dry skin (xerosis) is a common condition that can often be treated, at least temporarily, with moisturizers. Dry skin occurs when moisture is removed from the skin. This can be caused by weather conditions, bathing, towel drying and aging. According to the Mayo Clinic, the symptoms of xerosis can include a tight feeling in the skin, skin that appears, rough or dehydrated and possible redness, peeling or flaking. The American Oseteopathic College of Dermatology (AOCD) recommends several moisturizers to help diminish the effects of dry skin.
