Review of the Phisoderm 4-Way Daily Acne Cleanser
Overview
Phisoderm 4-Way Daily Acne Cleanser has been re-packaged and re-named Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash. The cleanser contains 2 percent salicylic acid, the highest concentration available over the counter to exfoliate dead skin cells and clear acne blemishes.
Benefits
Phisoderm Anti-Blemish Gel Facial Wash is pH balanced, which means it tones the oily areas of the face and hydrates the dry areas so skin is clear and balanced. The cleanser reduces redness, deep cleans and exfoliates to reveal fresh, healthy skin.
Key Ingredients
Salicylic acid, a member of the hydroxy acid family, helps remove the outer layer of dead skin, which can clog pores and lead to acne breakouts. The exfoliation process also helps skin to become softer, smoother and more radiant.
Lactic acid is also in the hydroxy acid family and is widely used in anti-aging products. Lactic acid is derived from milk and sloughs off dead skin cells while hydrating and producing limited skin irritation.
Application
Wet face, then pump a small amount of cleanser into hands. Add water and work into a lather, massaging over face, then rinse thoroughly.
Considerations
Use caution with any product containing salicylic acid because it can be drying and irritating. It's best to avoid contact with eyes and to use a moisturizer following cleansing. If irritation develops, reduce frequency of use.
