Panoxyl Bar 10 percent Acne Wash is a daily medicated cleanser designed to treat acne that appears on the face, chest and back.

Active Ingredient

The Panoxyl Bar contains 10 percent benzoyle peroxide, the highest non-prescription level allowed. Benzoyle peroxide was created to penetrate pores and kill acne-causing bacteria.

Function

The Panoxyl Bar removes dirt and controls oil production. The company claims its product will clear the blemishes you have and help prevent future ones.

Use

Wash your skin with the Penoxyl Bar and warm water for one to two minutes, and then pat dry. Use the bar once daily to start, and move up to two or three times a day if needed.

Side Effects

According to Drugs.com, warmth, burning, dryness, itching, redness, swelling and mild peeling are common side effects of this product. If you experience these symptoms, reduce or discontinue use.
