Overview

Blackheads can appear anywhere on the body, but they are often the most obvious and troublesome when they appear on the facial area. Blackheads are developed by sebum, dead skin and bacteria becoming clogged inside the pores, which then oxidizes and turns dark. Larger blackheads can be more difficult to get rid of.

Step 1

Open the pores and loosen blackheads using a purgative oil. Massage 1 to 2 tsp. of castor oil into your skin for four minutes. Fill a bowl with boiling water, and lean 12 inches over it. Cover your head with a towel, allowing the steam to envelope your skin. After five to ten minutes, lift your head and wipe off the oil with a washcloth. Apply a purgative oil once per day.

Step 2

Apply an antibacterial clay mask to pull out impurities from the pores. In a small bowl, combine 1 tbsp. of French green clay with 3 drops of tea tree oil. Mix the two substances well with your fingers. Spread the clay mixture onto your skin, and allow it to remain there until it dries. Rinse off your skin with warm water. Apply once per day after using the purgative oil.

Step 3

Apply a lemon juice and egg white mask to tighten the pores. In a small bowl, whip two egg whites with a whisk until it begins to foam. Add in 1 tbsp. of lemon juice, and whisk the mixture again for two minutes. Spread the mixture onto your skin, and allow it to dry completely. Rinse off your skin with water. Apply once per day after applying a clay mask.
