Sun bathing and tanning is a common practice specially in our part of the world. This means a lot of sun exposure to the people. Although sun exposure is essential to the skin and the body as it provides the body with necessary vitamins, Over exposing in sun may cause many health problem.
These problems vary from minor skin diseases to skin cancer.When you spend time in sun, your body starts sweating. Usually in sunny days humidity level in air is high. Due to which body sweats a lot. This sweating causes many skin problems, heat rash is one of them. Heat rashes are commonly known as prickly heat. When our body sweats a lot, it blocks sweat glands which traps sweat underneath our skin. This causes irritation and red rashes like pustules develop on our skin. These rashes are made up of tiny spots or bump which is surrounded by patch of red skin. Babies and children are more likely to affected by this problem then older ones because their sweat glands are under development.

People who over-dressed in cold weather may also develop heat rashes. These rashes may cause mild swelling, itching and prickling sensation. Fortunately it is not a severe condition and do not need any special treatment and medicines. Following are some useful tips to get rid of heat rashes.

Wear loose fitting clothes to relieve the blocked sweat glands.

If you are suffering from heat rashes then avoid going out in sun, spend as much time in air conditioner as you can.

Take bath regularly or twice a day is more effective.

Keep your skin cool and dry.

Use Corticosteroid lotions and specially formulated prickly heat powder to prevent heat rash and to get relieve form itching.

Apply neem leaves which is grind with water on affected area.

Drink lots of water to keep yourself away from dehydartion.
