Perricone Pore Refining Cleanser Review

Overview

Perricone Skin Clear Cleanser is sold for the treatment and prevention of acne. The product contains glycolic acid and DMAE. It comes in a 6-oz. bottle and can be bought on the Internet and in stores.

Cleanser

The Skin Clear Cleanser removes excess oil, makeup and other daily grime from the skin without drying it out. Apply a small amount of cleanser to your skin and rinse with water. It leaves no residue, so it does not clog your pores.

Glycolic Acid

Glycolic acid, also called alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA), promotes a mild peeling action on the surface of the skin and improves its appearance and texture. It may also help with acne scarring and wrinkles.

DMAE

DMAE, or dimethylaminoethenol, is an organic compound found naturally in certain fish and is produced in trace amounts by the brain. Some research has been done on its effectiveness when used for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD); however, there is little evidence that it has any effect on the skin or in the treatment and prevention of acne.
