Oxy is a well known manufacturer of treatment products for acne. The products are available over the counter and use salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide as the active ingredient. Salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide unclogs pores by sloughing off dead skin cells and removing dirt. If your skin is easily irritated, you may want to check out their sensitive skin care line.

Oxy Sensitive Skin Cleansing Pads

The cleansing pads available from Oxy for sensitive skin types come in 90 count packages and contain 0.5 percent concentration of salicylic acid. Due to the ingredient's ability to dry out the skin, it is recommended to first use the pads once a day after cleansing the face. If your skin does not feel overly dry, you can use the pads as many as three times daily. It is recommended to use the pads in conjunction with the Oxy Daily Face Wash for Sensitive Skin.

Oxy Daily Face Wash for Sensitive Skin

The face wash is a component of the sensitive skin care line from Oxy and is mild enough to be used daily. The active ingredient in the formulation is a 5 percent concentration of benzoyl peroxide. It is recommended that you wash the face two to three times daily to treat breakouts with the cleanser. Since the ingredients can cause sun sensitivity, limit exposure to the sun and wear sunblock while outdoors. It is free of any fragrances.

Oxy Vanishing Spot Treatment for Sensitive Skin

The spot treatment from Oxy for sensitive skin is also 100 percent fragrance free. It contains a 5 percent concentration of benzoyl peroxide and is intended to be applied directly to acne cysts. The skin should be cleansed before applying the cream. Start with one application daily since drying and peeling can occur before moving up to as many as three times a day. Allow the cream to dry on the face without rinsing it off.
