Oil Cleansing Method for Blackheads
Though one wouldn't expect to solve a problem caused by oil by using more oil, this is the case in one treatment of blackheads, which are the result of the body producing too much sebaceous oil. The oil becomes trapped in the pores and eventually turns into blackheads as it mixes with dead skin cells and bacteria. Olive or sunflower seed oil can soften the dirt trapped within the pores, making it a lot easier to get it out.
Mix extra virgin olive oil or sunflower seed oil with castor oil to create the best blend for your skin type; 30 percent castor oil is best for oily skin, 20 percent is best for balanced skin and only 10 percent is necessary for dry skin.
Pour your oil blend mixture into your hands and gently wipe it over your skin, then massage it in.
Allow the oil blend to remain on your skin for five to 10 minutes.
Soak a clean soft cloth in hot water and wring it out well.
Lay the hot cloth over your skin. It should be hot enough to help steam the area but not so hot as to scald you.
Allow the cloth to remain on your skin until it is cool.
Wipe your skin gently with the cloth to remove any dirt that has come out of your pores.
Repeat the process of soaking the cloth and steaming your skin two to three more times, wiping your skin off between each time.
Rinse your face with warm water and a soft clean cloth. Splash cold water onto your skin when you are finished to close the pores back up.
Repeat this process every other day to help eliminate blackheads.
