How to Use Onsen Skin Care
Onsen skin care products all use Onsen's trademarked "Powder and Water Technologies." The inspiration for the development of the products came from the micro water molecule in Japan's Onsen Hot Springs, the Onsen website reports. The theory is that smaller water molecules carry nutrients deeper in to the skin. Develop a day and night skin care routine to make the most of your Onsen products. Though skin care may seem complicated, once you're familiar with the products, it's convenient to create a routine for caring for your skin at the beginning of your day and again in the evening.
Wash your face with Onsen's scrub, if you choose to use a scrub. Rub the scrub gently on your neck and face, avoiding the eye area. Rinse your skin well and pat dry with a soft towel.
Apply True Hydration or another Onsen moisturizer. Rub it on gently with your fingertips beginning at the base of your throat. Smooth the product on in slow upward strokes over your face to your hairline.
Dab Truth Serum on your eye area with your fingertips. Never rub the area under your eyes as this may encourage wrinkles. Instead tap eye products on lightly, the University of Maryland Medical Center's website advises.
Rub Skin Deep Body Lotion all over your body. Avoid any areas with broken skin. Use Skin Deep Body Butter to treat extra dry areas such as elbows and knees and for foot massage, though this is optional.
Dab Onsen's Pure A Peel over your face and neck and smooth it across your skin for full coverage. Avoid the eye and lip areas. Leave the face peel on for 15 seconds. Massage the product off of your face with small circular movements. Rinse thoroughly and pat your skin dry with a soft towel. The Onsen website advises exfoliating with this product for three days in a row, and then using it once or twice a week.
Smooth Onsen's night cream Ageless Illumination over your neck and face, applying it sparingly and stroking upward. Follow it with Onsen's PM Powder, if desired.
