How to Remove Your Acne Fast With Household Products
Your kitchen and first aid kit contain an arsenal of acne remedies you may not have tried. While acne treatment systems claiming to be the latest and greatest abound on late-night and early-morning TV, you may find equally beneficial treatment with simple products you already have. There's no need to spend a lot of money to find effective relief from pimples and blackheads. Home remedies may also be less harsh than commercial formulations containing medication.
Mix dry oatmeal with enough water to form a thick paste. Wash your face with the mixture, massaging in a circular motion. Oatmeal works as a natural exfoliant and soothes inflamed skin.
Cut the tomato in half and scoop out the pulp with your fingers.
Apply the tomato pulp to your face and lie back for 15 minutes. The citric acid can be quite effective in drawing out blackheads. Rinse with cool water to close your pores.
Cut the lime or lemon in half and squeeze the juice into a bowl. Dip a cotton ball into the juice and apply it to your face as a toner.
Apply calamine lotion as a spot treatment to dry blemishes overnight. Alternatives to calamine lotion are a baking soda and water paste or an aspirin and honey paste. If using aspirin, be sure to get the uncoated kind and crush it, or use aspirin powder.
