Overview

Blackheads are a caused by an oily substance called sebum, which is secreted by your sebaceous glands. When sebum clogs up and gets stuck in your hair follicles, it oxidizes, turning a black color on your skin. The Acner.org calls blackheads "open comodones" and says they often form on your nose. You can remove the blackheads on your nose if you use the right medicine and expose your skin to soothing natural treatments.

Step 1

Rub aloe vera on your skin and let it dry to remove the blackheads on your nose. HealthMad says aloe vera can increase the rate at which your skin heals itself and gets rid of blackheads. This is a good treatment for people who are sensitive to medication and lotions with chemicals as aloe vera is a natural product.

Step 2

Boil water and pour it into a bowl. Place your face close enough to the water that you feel the heat but not so close so that you burn your skin. Place a towel over your head to trap the steam inside. Leave the towel on for 10 minutes, then wash your skin with a face soap that does not contain any harsh chemicals. By steaming your skin, you open up your pores and allow the bacteria-filled sebum to come out of your blackheads, which helps get rid of them.

Step 3

Use an extractor to remove the blackheads on your nose. An extractor is a tool that can physically push out the blackheads. Make sure you get all the germs off your extractor before you use it on your face by boiling it in water or using disinfectant. Place the loop of the extractor on either side of your blackhead and gently press down to release the sebum. Be careful when you use the extractor because if you are too harsh with the tool you can cause permanent damage to your skin

Step 4

See your dermatologist for medication as a last resort if no other treatments are working for you. Your doctor can prescribe a medication that make your skin cells turn over at a faster rate, which speeds up the rate at which you can remove the blackheads from your nose. The MayoClinic.com says your doctor will most likely prescribe a medication that contains retinoids, which are a vitamin A derivative.
