How to Reduce Pimple Size Overnight
Overview
While it may not be possible to completely clear your skin overnight, you can use an inexpensive spot treatment to dry a pimple while you sleep. These can be purchased at pharmacies or specialty stores, or you can make your own at home. Your kitchen and medicine cabinet may already be an arsenal of acne home remedies. If you have an important day ahead of you, give yourself a simple at-home facial and wake up tomorrow with clearer skin.
Step 1
Wash your face with a mild glycerin soap. While it may seem tempting to scrub your skin with a washcloth or exfoliating cleanser, this can further irritate an emerging pimple. Pat dry with a clean towel to avoid transmitting bacteria.
Step 2
Cut the lemon in half and squeeze the juice onto a cotton ball. Wipe this over your face to tone your skin. Citric acid is an effective blackhead-fighting astringent.
Step 3
Crush three uncoated aspirin tablets or empty one packet of aspirin powder into a bowl. Add a small spoonful of honey and a few drops of water.
Step 4
Stir with a spoon to form a paste.
Step 5
Dot a thick layer of the paste onto your pimple about an hour before you go to bed. Aspirin can be irritating to some people's skin, so if you notice burning or stinging, rinse it off before you retire. Otherwise, leave it on overnight to shrink the pimple while you sleep. If you wake up in the night, you may wish to apply another coat.
