How to Make a Facial Mask for Acne
Acne, a condition that causes the pores to produce more oils than the skin needs, can interfere with your clear complexion. Rather than spending your money on an acne solution in a bottle, try a homemade mask. Homemade masks for acne use all natural ingredients and are quite effective.
Orange Peel Mask
Peel an orange and place the small pieces of orange peel in a mortar. Break down large pieces of orange peel with your hands to make smaller ones.
Add 2 to 4 tsp. of warm water to the orange peels.
Mash the orange peels into the water with a pestle to make a thick paste, adding more water if needed.
Apply the paste to your face with your hands.
Allow the paste to sit on your skin for 30 minutes.
Peel the hardened mask away from your skin with your fingers.
Wash your face with a mild soap and lukewarm water.
Pat your skin dry gently with an absorbent soft dry towel. Repeat this as often as needed to reduce swelling from acne.
Scoop out some raw uncooked organic honey from the jar or container with your hands.
Rub the honey between your hands to warm it up and make it more pliable.
Apply the honey to your face with your fingers.
Allow the honey to remain on your skin for 15 minutes.
Wipe away the honey with a soft clean cloth dampened with warm water.
Wash your face with a mild soap to eliminate residual stickiness.
Repeat this process daily to help eliminate acne.
