How to Get Rid of Pimples Permanently Using Home Remedies
Acne affects many people starting from puberty and into adulthood. Several factors can contribute to the development of pimples and blemishes. Hormones, stress, heredity, cosmetics and certain types of food are some common causes of troubled skin. Before seeking professional help from a dermatologist, home remedies can be used to treat acne. Not all treatments will have the same result for all people.
Combine the juice of one lemon with an equal amount of rose water. Apply this mixture to your face for about 1/2 hour. Wash your face with cold water and repeat for about 15 days for clear skin. Apply fresh lemon juice directly to a pimple and leave it on overnight. Use this remedy only if you do not have sensitive skin.
Mix 1/2 cup of mashed strawberries with 1 tbsp. of whole milk. Spread the paste over your face and neck and let it sit for 20 minutes. Rinse with warm water, followed by cold water. Strawberries are a natural source of salicylic acid, a common ingredient used in many commercial products for acne treatment.
Mix baking soda with water to make a thick paste. Using a clean cotton ball, dab the mixture directly on problem areas. Leave the treatment on overnight to reduce redness.
Soak a cotton ball in warm salt water and press it on top of the blemish for three minutes. Dab honey on it and let it sit for another 15 minutes. Honey helps draw out impurities and has natural antibacterial properties. Rinse with warm water and pat dry.
Eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables. Avoid processed foods, chocolate, fried foods and sugars. Dairy may also trigger acne flare-ups in some people.
