How to Get Rid of Pimples Overnight at Home
Pimples can be an unwelcome burden on your face, back and chest, and be difficult to get rid of. According to "Allure," stress and an accumulation of dirt, oil and dead skin can clog your pores and lead to even more breakouts than usual. While no treatments will zap all of your zits overnight, a few at-home remedies can help them clear up faster. Wash your skin at the end of the day and apply topical treatments, and you should notice a clearer complexion come morning.
Use an exfoliating salicylic acid cleanser to clean any areas where you are breaking out. "Alllure" notes that this product will fight pimples and help dry them up, as well as get rid of the dead skin that can build up in your pores and cause zits. At the end of the day, lather the product in your wet hands and smooth it over your face and body, massaging it in. Rinse it all away with warm water, and then dry off.
Smooth on a sulfur mask. According to "Allure," this will get rid of the bacteria on your skin and give your pores a deep cleansing. Let the mask stay on your skin for 15 minutes to allow the active ingredients to work. Wash it off with a washcloth and lukewarm water. Pat dry.
Douse a cotton ball with toner and rub it over the affected areas. "Cosmopolitan" says that this will eliminate any dirt and oil that your cleanser or mask left behind. Re-moisten the cotton ball if needed, and allow the toner to soak into your skin.
Apply a retinol cream. According to an article in "Elle," dermatologist Jenny Kim, M.D. says that retinol cream will help unclog your pores even further, as well as improve the overall texture and tone of your complexion. Smooth on a thin layer using the tips of your fingers, and wait five minutes for the cream to absorb into your skin.
Dab a salicylic acid cream directly on top of your pimples. This cream will help speed up the rate at which your blemishes heal. Use a small amount and rub it in gently before going to bed.
