How to Get Rid of Pimples & Blackheads Fast Without Products
Pimples and blackheads are both forms of acne. When excess amounts of oil are produced by the skin's sebaceous glands the pores become blocked with a mixture of this oil, dirt and bacteria. If the pore seals over it becomes infected and becomes a pimple. An open pore which is blocked becomes a blackhead, according to University of Maryland Medical Center. While there are many products on the market for treating pimples and blackheads, you can treat acne at home with simple ingredients.
Mix rose water with lemon juice in equal parts. Apply the tonic to the pimples or blackheads and massage in circular movements. Both ingredients will help kill bacteria and remove dirt, and the ascorbic acid in the lemon juice will also fade scarring. The rose water will help dilute and neutralize some of the acidity of the lemon. Rinse off after 15 to 30 minutes.
Open your pores by steaming your face or bathing it in warm water. This will make blackhead removal easier and will allow for better absorption of remedies.
Use a blackhead extractor tool to remove those blackheads that have become engorged--opened--during steaming. Place the loop of the tool over the blackhead and press down with enough firmness that it will squeeze the blackhead out of the pore from the sides and beneath.
Apply a paste of equal parts baking soda and water to the pimples and blackheads. Massage in, allowing the exfoliating granules to erode dead skin cells and blemishes and to deeply cleanse the pores.
Rub ice cubes over swollen pimples, reddish marks and open pores. The intense cold will help close the pores and reduce blood flow to the inflamed pimples as well as diminish swelling.
