How to Get Rid of Pimples & Black Spots
If you get pimples and blackheads, you know how difficult it can be to get rid of them. The truth is, there is no sure-fire way to get rid of pimples and blackheads for good, but a daily regimen of proper skin care can help clear up the pimples and blackheads you have and prevent new ones from forming.
Cleanse the face two times a day with a mild, hypoallergenic cleanser that's also noncomedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores.
Use a gentle, fine-grained exfoliant to slough away dead skin cells and remove impurities from the pores. Gently massage the exfoliant on the skin.
Apply a toner with a cotton ball or pad to clarify and tighten pores. Choose a mild toner that is free of harsh chemical ingredients that can dry the skin and cause it to overproduce oil. Witch hazel is a good all-natural alternative.
Moisturize by applying a thin layer of a noncomedogenic, hypoallergenic and oil-free facial lotion made specifically for sensitive, acne-prone skin.
Apply benzoyl peroxide to your pimples and blackheads. Use the smallest amount necessary, as benzoyl peroxide can dry the skin.
