Overview

Blackheads are volcano-like bumps that form on your skin and appear black or dark in color. Blackheads form when your pores enlarge and bacteria and dirt and oil gets into your skin, or when your skin produces too much oil. They are a precursor to acne. The oil gets trapped in your skin and forms a bump, and when it is exposed to the air, the blackhead gets its dark color. Blackheads mostly appear on your face, and are very common on your nose. With the right natural treatments, you can get rid of your blackheads.

Step 1

Rub aloe vera juice or gel into the blackheads on your nose. Aloe vera contains an enzyme that will calm the swelling of your blackhead. Aloe vera also gets rid of and breaks down the dirt and oil and bacteria trapped in your blackheads. You can use aloe vera gel or aloe vera juice from the leaf of an aloe vera plant. Rub onto the blackheads on your nose and let the juice evaporate.

Step 2

Rub vitamin C paste onto the blackheads on your nose. Vitamin C breaks up the bacteria, dirt and oil that is trapped under your skin. Use an orange peel, since oranges contain the highest level of vitamin C in any fruit. Peel off the outside of the orange, chop into pieces and grate into a fine powder in a bowl. Add a couple drops of water and stir vigorously until it forms a liquid paste. Take a cotton ball and dip it into the mixture, then rub onto the blackheads on your nose. Leave the paste on for at least 15 minutes. Wash your face with a mild soap and pat dry.

Step 3

Expose your blackheads to steam. The hot temperature will unclog your skin follicles and release the bacteria, dirt and oil trapped inside your blackheads. Once the bacteria inside your blackhead is released, your blackhead will gradually disappear. Boil water inside a pot and pour the steaming water into a bowl. Place your forehead over the steam and put a towel over your head so that the towel traps the steam underneath. Leave the towel on for about 10 minutes. Immediately wash your face with a mild cleanser. You want to wash off the dirt and bacteria you just released from your skin.
