How to Get Rid of Big Pimples Overnight
Pimples are most commonly caused by hormonal changes or over-productive sebaceous glands, and the area of skin around and on the nose is a very common place for big pimples and breakouts. However, some natural treatments can reduce the visibility of large pimples and help get rid of them quickly, according to Julia Lawless, author of "The Encyclopedia of Essential Oils: The Complete Guide to the Use of Aromatic Oils in Aromatherapy, Herbalism, Health and Well-Being," and Susan Worwood, author of "Essential Aromatherapy: A Pocket Guide to Essential Oils and Aromatherapy."
Mix ½ tsp. geranium essential oil, ½ tsp. atlas cedarwood essential oil, 1/2 tsp. grapefruit essential oil. 1/2 tsp. juniper essential oil, ½ tsp. lavandin essential oil;, 1/2 tsp. bergamot essential oil, 1/2 tsp. mandarin essential oil, 1/4 tsp. peppermint essential oil and 1 cup of sesame oil in a small container with a tight-fitting top.
Pour a small amount of the essential oil mixture in a bowl with a cotton ball inside. Allow the cotton to soak up the oil for 1 minute.
Dab the cotton pad on your skin around the area that has pimples. Allow the oil to stay on the skin for 20 minutes.
Rinse your skin with cool water. Wash with a gentle cleanser and apply an oil-free moisturizer to the area.
Use this treatment daily in the evening. Stop using the essential oil mixture if you notice any redness, sensitivity or itching, which may indicate an allergic reaction.
Store unused portions of the mixture in a cool, dark and dry place for 90 days. Throw the mixture away after 90 days.
