How to Cover Acne With Simple Products
Young women who are suffering from acne outbreaks want to cover up the blemishes while still presenting an attractive face to the public. Some of these women make the mistake of vigorously rubbing their skin as they wash and treat their skin, thinking they're getting rid of the oil that causes the blemishes; but, they're wrong. They should be using a gentle touch and a light hand with the treatment and cover up the blemishes.
Wash your face gently with cold water and a mild acne cleanser. Don't rub your skin because you'll only force more oil to the surface of your skin. Pat your skin dry; again, do not rub it.
Wet a cotton pad with astringent and apply this to your face to eliminate excess oil from your skin. Allow this to dry. Apply a light layer of moisturizer so your skin doesn't have to overcompensate by pushing more oil to the surface.
Dab a green-tinted concealer that has anti-acne medication on your blemishes. Gently blend the concealer with a facial sponge. Give the concealer time to dry.
Moisten your facial sponge with a light, non-comedogenic foundation and dab it on your blemishes, then blend it in carefully. Non-comedogenic foundation doesn't clog your pores. Go light with the foundation--you don't want to hide your pimples under a heavy layer of makeup because you'll clog your skin's pores again.
Set your foundation with a light dusting of loose facial powder. Use a powder brush to apply the powder and set your foundation. The powder serves to absorb extra facial oil and it gives your foundation a smooth appearance, while preventing the shiny appearance that oily skin causes.
