Scars on the face usually come from some form of acne. They can cause red or brownish discoloration on the upper layers of skin tissues. In extreme cases, they cause indents or bubbles on top of the skin on your face. Scar tissue can be difficult and costly to remove if the cases are severe. Instances of less severe scarring can often be treated with natural removal methods, although severe cases may require professional methods of removal.

Step 1

Apply honey directly to your scars and let it settle on the face for around 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, rinse off the honey with cold water. Honey is believed to have properties that helps the body rebuild new skin cells, which in turn can fade scars.

Step 2

Wrap a couple of ice cubes in a piece of cloth and place them directly over your facial scars for 10 to 15 minutes a day. Over time, the ice cubes will help reduce swelling and help fade any discoloration.

Step 3

Ask your doctor about a laser resurfacing procedure to help get rid of your face scars. The procedure involves a laser penetrating through the layers of your skin, destroying the scar tissue and making room for new skin tissue to grow. The laser also stimulates the lower levels of the skin to grow new skin cells. The doctor can control how deep the laser penetrates, depending on the severity of the scar.

Step 4

Purchase a chemical peel that features alpha hydroxy acid and beta hydroxy acid as ingredients. The acids in the chemical peel will burn the upper layer of skin and leave room for new skin cells to grow. Apply the peel with a cotton ball to the scarred area and let it sit there for however long the product recommends. Wash the peel off with water after it has been on your face for the recommended amount of time. Stronger versions of chemical peels must be applied by a doctor.

Step 5

Talk to your doctor or dermatologist about an injection filler to treat your scars. The doctor will remove fat deposits from another part of your body and inject them into the scar tissue to help push the tissue out and grow new skin cells. Fat injections can require multiple procedures and are not a permanent method of healing scars.
