Overview

According to MedlinePlus, a service of the U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health, acne occurs when pores on your skin become clogged with bacteria and dry skin follicles. The top of the clogged area may be white or black and form a bump on your skin. MedlinePlus states, "If it ruptures, the material inside, including oil and bacteria, can spread to the surrounding area and cause an inflammatory reaction." You can suffer from acne up to ages 30 and 40 on any area of your body.

Step 1

Wash your face with a mild facial cleanser free of oil and fragrance. Blot your face dry with a clean washcloth.

Step 2

Hold ice on pimples for two minutes to reduce inflammation and swelling. According to the website Get Rid of Acne Overnight, ice will lessen the pain of your pimples, as well.

Step 3

Mix an even amount of milk, honey and cinnamon together until it forms a thick paste. The website Organic Facts reports that milk and honey provide cleansing properties to your skin and these properties are stronger when milk and honey are used together. Get Rid of Acne Overnight states that your skin will be noticeably clearer when you use honey and cinnamon together.

Step 4

Apply the paste onto your face and any other areas of acne on your body, and let dry for approximately 20 minutes. Wear the paste overnight for optimal results.

Step 5

Remove the paste when you wake up with warm water, and cleanse as normal with a mild soap.

Step 6

Moisturize your skin with a gentle facial lotion. This will reduce dry skin particles that can clog pores and cause more acne. Talk to your dermatologist about your personal skin type and what moisturizer is most appropriate and effective for you.
