How to Clear Black Pores on the Nose
Overview
Black pores, or comedones, form when dust and debris embed into openings in the skin that excrete oil. The discoloration is the result of dark matter trapped near the surface of the clog, giving the pore a blackish appearance. Relieving the skin on your nose of blackheads takes a number of cleansing steps to loosen the clog and clear the pore. Once the pores clear, you can take steps to keep from clogging again.
Step 1
Wash your face with a mild face cleanser to remove makeup and dirt. Pat dry with a towel.
Step 2
Hold a clean washcloth under warm to slightly hot water. Saturate the cloth and then squeeze it to remove excess.
Step 3
Lay the wet cloth over your nose and leave it there for 10 minutes. This will loosen debris in clogged pores.
Step 4
Scrub the nose with an exfoliant to remove dead skin. Follow the instruction on the product. Do not scrub too hard--this will irritate the skin. Rinse thoroughly with warm water to remove residue from the exfoliant.
Step 5
Apply a salicylic acid cream to the area. This will soak down into the pores and remove any remaining dirt. Follow the instruction provided with the cream for proper application.
