Acne is a common skin condition that primarily affects teenagers and young adults, although it can persist well into adulthood. Acne can leave scars, hyper-pigmentation and bruising on the face and other body areas, causing emotional distress for acne sufferers. Natural acne spot treatments don't contain harsh chemicals such as alcohol that's found in over-the-counter beauty items, but still provide comparable results. Nonetheless, homemade spot treatments are not a substitute for medical treatment.

Cocunut Nutmeg Milk Spot Treatment for Combination Skin

Ground nutmeg has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties that are helpful in healing acne-ridden skin and reducing the appearance of comedones such as blackheads, whiteheads and red lesions, according to the Organic Facts website. Alternately, coconut milk helps to calm and soothe inflammation while supplying much needed moisture to areas that exhibit dryness such as the cheeks in acne-prone combination skin. For oily areas, such as the nose, forehead and chin, coconut milk helps to prevent wrinkles and age spots, and aids in the skin's natural barrier to ward off infection, states the Coconut Research Center. Mix organic coconut milk with ground nutmeg to form a paste. Apply directly to blemishes for at least 20 minutes or overnight.

Turmeric and Coconut Oil Spot Treatment for Dry Skin

Turmeric is helpful in drying out acne spots while preventing their development and dryness or flaking, states the Acne Resource Center. Coconut oil contains high levels of vitamin E, which helps to visibly reduce the appearance of scars and blemishes on the skin, states MedlinePlus. Coconut oil also helps to replenish moisture that's often lacking in dry, acne-prone skin. Simply add drops of coconut oil to ground turmeric until a semi-thick paste forms. Apply directly onto pimples overnight. This spot treatment is safe to use daily for up two weeks.

Honey and Evaporated Milk Spot Treatment for Oily Skin

Honey and milk have antimicrobial and cleansing properties helpful in quelling acne. Milk and honey helps give skin a glowing appearance, states the Organic Facts website. Honey is a humectant, meaning it helps to attract and retain moisture. Milk helps to reduce inflamed skin caused by acne and associated irritation. Mix organic evaporated milk with unpasteurized honey in a small saucer. Dab onto pimples and blemishes and leave on overnight. This spot treatment is safe to use daily.
