Tea Tree Oil
Tea tree oil, also known as "tea trees," can remedy acne mainly due to its antimicrobial effects, according to Drugs.com. When applied to the skin, tea tree oil assists in fighting off bacteria on the face and lessening inflammation of acne. According to HealthyOilPlanet.com, it also kills acne called propionibacterium, which is a form of bacteria that causes acne in some people.
Washing Daily
Washing your face twice a day is a good way to help keep your skin clean and toned. Wash your face in the morning when you wake up with a face cloth. Use hot water to kill bacteria. Before you go to bed, wash your face again with hot water to remove bacteria that has built up on your face during the day.
Zinc
Zinc deficiency causes acne in some individuals. Consuming a higher amount of zinc in your diet can effectively treat acne. This can help reduce the severity of acne and inflammation and prevent breakouts. According to Medline Plus, you should take a range of 45 to 220 mg zinc, three times daily. A good way to do this is too take a zinc supplement with your meals.
Witch Hazel
Witch hazel can remedy acne and oily skin, according to Health911.com. It is a natural astringent with a drying affect, reducing oil and getting rid of acne. Saturate a cotton ball with witch hazel and rub it on your face. It is best to use witch hazel in the morning when you wake up so that you can immediately wash your face.
Neem Oil
Neem oil contains antibacterial capabilities. Health911.com says to apply a 2 percent neem-oil based cream to the face and then take two neem capsules everyday to increase the healing. Or, mix 1 cup of neem oil with 1/2 cup of a carrier oil like olive or almond, and apply it to the affected on the area on the face with a cotton ball or Q-tip.
Oatmeal
Health911.com suggests using oatmeal to prevent acne. Apply cool cooked oatmeal onto the face for 15 minutes and then wash it off. Oatmeal can draw impurities and oil out of the skin as it is an astringent, keeping skin blemish-free and clean. This method could take a week or two, but should provide positive results.
