Cystic acne is the most severe form of acne skin problems. This appears mostly in teenagers and quite rarely in adults. The main area is the face. There are home remedies for cystic acne but tend to take more time to heal it or you can take a prescription from your dermatologist for some drugs to clear it.

Cystic acne appears mostly because the oil ducts get clogged and it creates an abscess. The biggest mistake people make is to popping and squeezing the zits. This creates scars which are more difficult to get rid of.

The most commonly used drug for severe acne is Isotretinoin. This help treat the clogged pore inflammation, excess of oil produced and the acne appearance. For women, a great treatment for cystic acne is taking the contraceptive pill. This will help balance your hormone level in your body and help reduce the production of sebaceous glands in your body. The downside effect is gaining weight during treatment.

There are lots of home remedies for cystic acne out there, and the most common ones are using a mango paste for your face, using lemon juice mixed with water o the inflammation areas, putting over your face a paste made from neem leaves with turmeric for 30 minutes, applying some groundnut oil or lavender oil on the affected areas, etc.

Other good things to followed is to wash your face at least twice daily with a cleanser special made for acne ski condition. This contains 5% benzyl peroxide which helps clear the bacteria.

Keeping a way from foods like chocolate, junk foods, sugar, oily foods will diminish your cystic acne condition rapidly. The diet that we eat influence heavily the quality on which some glands work and our skin appearance.
