Good food sources of vitamin C include green peppers, raspberries, tomatoes, turnip greens, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, kiwi, cauliflower, strawberries and pineapples, notes the University of Maryland Medical Center. Vitamin C works with bioflavonoids to help protect your skin from bacteria, while also enhancing the immune system, which is essential for fighting infections.
