Fastest Way to Get Rid of Pimples
Overview
Pimples are skin pores that have been blocked by oil and debris. To remove them and prevent further outbreaks, wash your skin up to twice a day with a mild soap. The Mayo Clinic suggests using a topical cream or lotion that contains either benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid daily. Picking pimples or harshly scrubbing your skin can cause them to spread and possibly leave permanent scarring. If a breakout becomes severe, speak to your physician. Several prescription medications are available.
Morning Routine
Step 1
Use warm water and wash your skin. Use only a mild soap.
Step 2
Using a circular motion, scrub your skin with a soft washcloth to slough off dead skin cells. Avoid being too aggressive and rough on your skin. Rinse your skin with water.
Step 3
Follow the product description and apply a thin coat of the cream containing benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid. Avoid the sensitive area around your eyes.
Before Bedtime
Step 1
Wash your skin with warm water and mild soap just before bed to remove accumulated oils, sweat and grime.
Step 2
Exfoliate lightly with a clean washcloth to remove the dead skin cells. Concentrate on the areas that have pimples. Dry your skin completely.
Step 3
Apply a light coat of tea tree oil with a cotton ball. Avoid the area around your eyes and do not get it in your nose. Rub the oil into your skin using a circular motion.
