Overview

Over time, skin can become dull and lifeless. Environmental pollutants, sun damage, and cold weather can all leave the skin feeling rough and dry. If you crave silky, smooth skin, but don't have a lot of money to spend at expensive spas or on top-of-the-line products, you're in luck. You can make fresh, natural, effective skin care products, including an exfoliating scrub, at home using ingredients you might already have.

Oatmeal Scrub

Combine 2 tbsp. oatmeal, 2 tbsp. cornmeal and 2 tbsp. wheat germ in a small bowl.

Step 2

Step 3

Apply to rough areas of skin and gently massage in a circular motion for one minute.

Step 4

Sugar Scrub

Step 1

Mix 1/2-cup pure cane sugar with enough olive oil to make a thick paste.

Step 2

Apply mixture to rough skin and gently massage in a circular motion for one minute.

Step 3

Rinse with cool water.
