Curing Acne With Home Methods
Acne is a condition that causes the pores to generate too much oil and when this happens your complexion pays the price, along with your social life as self confidence can ultimately suffer as well. Though there are many products that claim to be able to eliminate acne with ease, you may instead opt to do it yourself and spare your pocketbook. Fancy creams and pills aside, it's by far simpler and just as effective to turn to the contents of your own pantry.
Wash your face with a mild cleanser twice daily. Be careful not to scrub as this may irritate the skin. Rinse your face thoroughly and pat the skin dry with a soft absorbent towel.
Mix uncooked oatmeal with warm water until it becomes a thick paste and apply it to your skin. Allow the oatmeal mask to sit on your face for at least 20 minutes before rinsing it away with warm water. Use this method once or twice weekly.
Rub raw organic honey between your hands to warm it up and make it more pliable before applying it to your face. Leave the honey on your skin for 15 to 20 minutes to allow the honey's natural antibacterial and antimicrobial properties to work on your skin. Rinse the honey off of your face with a warm damp cloth. Repeat this process daily to help eliminate acne.
Mash orange peels into warm water to create a paste and apply it to your face to help reduce the swelling from acne. Leave the paste on your skin for at least 30 minutes before gently peeling it away. Wash your face afterward with warm water. Do this as often as you like.
Drink plenty of water throughout the day to keep your system flushed and avoid coffee and chocolate as both contain natural excitants which can make acne worse. Maintain a healthy diet that includes zinc and vitamin A. Be careful about consuming too much vitamin A as high quantities can be harmful. Talk to your doctor first before increasing your vitamin A intake.
