Ayurvedic Treatment is possibly the most ancient type of holistic treatment that was started nearly five thousand years back.
Ayurveda is the craft of developing a pleasant and vigorous living by doing self-care. This word "Ayurveda" was derived from Sanskrit words "ayus" meaning life and "ved" means science or knowledge; thus Ayurveda, exactly indicates the knowledge of life.

As long as Ayurvedic Treatment is concerned, acne appears due to imbalance in one's life. In order to treat bad skin condition, an individual must follow certain dietary limitations. Conventional practitioners usually recommend eating foods with lesser spices for example oatmeal or basmati rice is known to help the problem. According to them, individuals must avoid fried foods and reduce consumption of citrus fruits from the diet.

Another helpful household remedy is to apply toothpaste at the place of bad skin or pimple before sleeping at night. They also recommend drinking plenty of water that helps in eliminating wastes from the body that are causative agents of acne too. It is also advised to include exercise in daily routine, it also help a lot in fighting against bad skin condition. It is because aerobic activities help in oxygen supply to the body cells that are helpful in bringing a glow on the skin.

Hirudotherapy is known to enhance capillary tissue perfusion, hence supply high amounts of nourishment along with oxygen to the skin. In the same way, the madhur (sweet) and sheeta (cold) qualities of Jalauka or Leech is also good to treat bad skin condition. Leech application to cure acne works like Para surgical methods. Leech is good to increase microcirculation of skin tissues, which removes stagnated blood. In order to get even better results, it is recommended to use internal medicine together with applying herbal Face packs, which include Lodhra (also called Symlocos racemosus) or fine paste of Jatiphala (also called Myristica Fragrance) that are useful in removing black spots caused by acne.

One Digestive recipe that includes finely powdered Fennel, Coriander, cumin seeds and Turmeric taken in equal quantity, can be taken in between meals with a glass of lukewarm water and one teaspoon of Ghee is helpful for the digestive system, which ultimately is good to cure bad skin condition or acne.
