Acne Redness Acne Redness

Acne redness can come with an enormous soreness. However one can avoid acne redness using following tips.

By avoiding popping pimples
Popping pimples using one’s own fingers is the worst thing one can do to face. Hands come in contact with a lot of unhygienic things and hence bear large number of bacteria and polluted oils on them. It can be alluring to pinch and touch blemishes in order to get rid of them, but the truth is, it is not effective. This can sometimes make things get worse and spread the sebum to unaffected portions on the face or may even further damage previously infected part on the skin. This may also cause wounding; scarring and redness on the skin- and once you get scars on the skin it will be rather difficult to get rid of than the typical spots.

Thorough Cleansing
When pimples pop naturally, the foremost thing one should do is to fight the redness by thorough cleaning the affected area. One must wash face using lukewarm water and a mild soap or face wash. After that pour some drops of a well reputed toner onto a cotton ball and leave it on to face for some time. By doing this you will stop further disinfection on the blemish and stop swelling.

Avoid using make-up
One must avoid using make-up during acne break-outs. Using Make-up can result in enhanced clogging of the pores. However, if one is really willing to wear make-up (e.g. a number of organizations want their employees to do), they must make use of products that are free of oils. You must avoid using extra oils on the face during redness.

Usage of Ice, Cortisone cream or Eye redness ointments
If your skin redness stays, it is highly effective to use cortisone cream. This will remove redness from the skin. If you don’t like to use cortisone cream then it is also effective to put some ice cubes in a small towel and keep it on top of the red areas on the face. One may also use gels for eye puffiness for the skin redness.
